About this site (NZHE)

• New Zealanders who educate their children themselves rather using a school;
  
• other Kiwis thinking about or wanting to know more about this increasingly popular option;
  
• other home schoolers wanting to learn about home schooling and other aspects of New Zealand life.
  We do not promote a particular view (other than that home education is a great lifestyle). We aim to present as many tools as possible to help the wide variety of people who choose to home school.
  

Having said that, we prefer the term "home education" rather than "home school" because we personally believe the focus should be on learning and education - not schooling. For the observant, yes we do sometimes use the other term. Most people use that term so we need to use it so the search engines will index it.
